My assignment pdfs are forcing me to download them, not first view in browser.
My question relates to pdfs that I uploaded into the assignment section (e.g., samples).
I tested this as me, going back in edit mode, and then "as learner". Both ways, it pushed me straight to finding where I wanted to save the download.
It does not do this for what the students submit. It goes to view first (with a lo-o-ong time to visualize) and then an option to download for word and for pdf.
Regarding the samples — I don't know if the students are having the same issue, as I just discovered it now. When I queried via Google, all the responses say the default is "view with option to download", so it seems I have clicked some button wrong???
Appreciate any advice. I only tried in Chrome (the friendly browser)
Thanks!

Hello @Jeanie.F.3946,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
Could you kindly confirm the option you've selected to add the .PDF file to the assignment? I would recommend trying the "Insert Stuff" option under the Instructions tab to see if that resolves the issue.
Please let me know if you need further assistance!
Thanks,
Rusha

Hi, Rusha, thanks for thinking about this. I am not familiar with the "Insert Stuff" option when setting up an Assignment. I just tried setting up a new assignment and don't see it (working on a Mac in Chrome)
My Brightspace choices for adding material to an assignment page are shown in the image below. I use the option on the left, which is "File upload". This is my first semester on Bs, so all my materials are coming from my computer.
Thanks for further thoughts!
