Email/System contacts/address book

Question

When sending an email from the email tool in a course site, when I select the drop down in the 'filter by' box, it lists ALL of the courses I have taught and take a very long time to search through and find the right course with the students that I am emailing. Is there any way to remove old courses from that and just have the course I am emailing from?

Yes, admin can set the current course offering as the default for the filter by dropdown box. Once that's done, as long as you access the mail tool from inside of a course, that course should be the one that populates in your dropdown.
