Re changing gradebook weights after some have been graded
Can I change the maximum points of a gradebook item after submissions have been graded? Currently for one assignment, the maximum points is set to 100, but I actually need it to be 15(%). How can I do this? Thank you!

Hello @Beverly.T.217, the answer is yes :) You can change the out of value for an assignment in the Assignment Edit page even after submissions have been graded. You'll receive a warning indicating that the denominator will be updated, but any saved or published evaluations will retain their original scores. For example, if a grade was 10/10 before the change and the maximum points are updated to 15, the grade will now display as 10/15.
Hope this helps!

Thanks Krizzy. I actually need the weights to be changed, so that the relative marks stay the same.
My marks are currently set up using the points system. Can I change the system to weighted, even though the assessments have been marked?
Thanks again.

Hello @Beverly.T.217, I see! You can change the grade system from pointed to weighted but one thing to note is that the denominator will be considered as "weights" so you will need to adjust the weighting system if you choose to. Also, if you have learners already granted some grades, then they will need to be adjusted manually as well.
Here's how to do it:
course > grades > manage grades > setting > calculation option > weighted grading system
Hope this helps!
