I have an org unit/module with content, quizzes, release conditions, grades. The layout in Content is basically Parent folder and Sub-folders with pages, quizzes. Had planned to export this out as a Brightspace package so that my users can download the package at their own time and import this package into their own modules via Import Components.
However, after some testing, I realised that while most items do get copied over, there are some that do not :
- Course Copying does not seem to copy the quiz - grade item association. Users will have to set it up again in their own module.
- When I import a Brightspace Package package, the quizzes that I had set up in Content disappeared. The quiz can be found in Quizzes itself but I have to manually add it back into Content.
- But when I tried to replicate this export/import with a different and smaller Brightspace package (i.e. Content = One folder, one quiz, one page), the content layout is retained.
So in sum, these are the questions I'm asking:
- Are my export/import results consistent with what other users have attempted? D2L community are welcome to share. 🙂
- What's the expected behaviour of exporting/importing a Brightspace package? Should the imported content be identical to what was exported?
