Is there a way to filter Gradebook by submission dates?
It would be helpful as a teacher if I could see submissions/grades filtered by term/semester (or even better be able to choose a start/end date for a view). This would particularly with the Mastery Gradebook because I can then use this view to help with reporting in each of the terms. If this is not possible, I would like to request that this be an update to consider.

Thank you for your question! Currently, Brightspace does not have a built-in feature that allows you to filter the Gradebook by specific submission dates or term/semester directly within the Gradebook view. However, there are some workarounds that might help:
- Exporting the Gradebook: You can export the Gradebook to a CSV or Excel file, which will give you more flexibility in filtering by date. Once exported, you can sort or filter the data in Excel based on submission dates or other criteria that suit your needs.
- Quick Eval: The Quick Eval tool allows you to view a list of ungraded submissions across all activities, and it includes a date-based view for when the submissions were made. While this doesn't filter the Gradebook directly, it can help you track submissions that occurred within a certain time frame.
- Mastery View Filtering: In the Mastery View (for Mastery Gradebook), while there isn't a built-in date filter, you can manually track progress based on your reporting periods. Creating a separate category in the gradebook for each term might help you organize your data better.
If these workarounds don't fully address your needs, I definitely recommend submitting a Product Idea Exchange (PIE) request to D2L. Many improvements in Brightspace come from direct client feedback, and your suggestion could lead to future updates allowing filtering by submission dates in the Gradebook.
