Manually entering grades and then publishing the same assignment

Hi there,

I want students to see their mark now but not see their assignment feedback. So I want to manually enter their marks in the grade book while keeping the assignment in draft mode, unpublished. Once I'm ready to publish the assignments, will this be a problem or will the marks just override what is already entered in the grade book?

Hello @Holly.A.103 thank you for your question.

I have tested this scenario, and once you manually enter the grades in grade book, the assignment linked to that grade item gets published automatically.

The feedback does not get published though, only grades. To publish the feedback, you will have to modify something in the feedback and click on Publish, so the students will be able to see the feedback you entered for that assignment.

I have searched and we do not have any other way to release only grades, then later release feedback for assignments.
