Getting Started with Brightspace
On January 10th, 2025 we'll be retiring this course, originally designed to help educators making the transition to online learning in 2020. Since then, we've launched new introductory learning material for Instructors and Administrators under our Brightspace Guided Training (BGT) Program. 🌸Refreshed
This update is specific to the supporting zip files. These new versions address two issues:
- client.min.css and client.min.js are now present in the shared.zip and D2L - HTML TEmplates V3_V5_2408a.zip files. These are placeholder files for use by the D2L Learning Services team on client engagements to add custom styling and interactivity. This resolves an error message some clients reported in the console log.
- an update to course.zip has been made that now allows tab headers to be edited in the Editor view not just the source code
These are not expected to alter look or behaviour in the pages users may have created with the prior zip files provided (October 2024).
This update can better facilitate assistance from D2L Team members if support is needed with templates in future.
You may choose to download and replace the old zip files with these new ones, but D2L Clients are not required to update their template files with this latest update.
