H5P
I'm just wondering before I start manually importing thousands of questions from our Moodle bank (alas the bulk import omits all our mark up). Apparently there is an H5P option that costs extra money but will bring back the functionality of Moodle — if we start banking questions in D2L will these work in H5P — say some questions are in D2L and some use H5P can that be in one test?
Or should we wait until H5P becomes available — I do notice all our online people using StudyForge and not using the D2L questions, although it appears some already have H5P access and are using it instead.
Thank you,

Hi Kyle.K,
H5P is integrated into Brightspace as an LTI application. As a result H5P questions are not directly available in the Brightspace quizzing tool at this stage, as with any other LTI tool for that matter. A H5P quiz result can be captured in the course offering grade tool in a grade item associated with a H5P quiz you create.
If the import of the Moodle quizzes is not what you are expecting, or there are issue please have your institutions LMS administration team connect with D2L Support to see if anything can be done to improve the import experience.
An alternative, for quizzing in particular, some clients have used the Respondus tools to assist in the quiz question migration from one LMS to another, in your case from Moodle to Brightspace. If you're not familiar with Respondus, in short, you connect to your Moodle course quiz and import the quiz questions into Respondus and can thereafter connect to your Brightspace course and publish the quiz questions into it from Respondus. However, it does require a licence to use. See
As suggested above, I recommend you connect with the D2L Support team in the first instance.
Hope this helps!

Thanks.
Ow, Respondus $$$, alas I don't think that will happen. Our Support staff have been working hard, but so many of the question options and formatting options are not yet available in D2L, esp. drop and drag (with multiple colours), pull down, and close scripting from Moodle. I'm being informed that option is not available, or that is "known issue" (like the formatting bug in FIB that causes the blank to jump to the next line). Will keeping plugging away. Thanks,
