Weighted Item's showing up different ways for students

One of our Instructors noticed that their students grades are showing different weighted totals. Is this an issue we should be worried about and look into more? How could we make sure all students are graded equally?
(NOTE: Two different assignments with different scores between students)

@Tristen.B.469 Yes, that's correct. Once all the grades for the third grade item are entered, all students will have the same denominators.

@Tristen.B.469 Have students received grades for all items yet? Is the grade book set to exclude ungraded items? The weights will keep adjusting depending on what has been graded so far and if ungraded items are excluded or treated as 0.

@Jennifer.W.973 Here is the current setup for the course. Only several items have been graded so far. Would you now why some students are getting different weights?

@Tristen.B.469 That second student who has a different denominator on those two items probably has a grade entered for another item, whereas the other students have received no grade for that same item. Are you able to show all the grade items in the grade book rather than just these two?

@Jennifer.w.973 I think I see what is happening now. So if I am understanding correctly once they do another assignment the weighted grade will change to adjust for the weight of the assignments.
