Why anytime I make a discussion post there is a big blank space at the end?

For some reason at the beginning of this year anytime I reply or make an initial post on a discussion post there is a huge blank space at the bottom. It doesn't matter if I copy and paste or just type directly into the box. There is always an empty space at the end. Some help would be appreciated. I have gone through the discussion post settings and I do not see anything that would make this go away. I added two images to help show a better understanding. Thank you!
