Dear community,
Hi, there! I'm wondering if there is any way to include sort of a live forum or notepad of sorts where students can post and everyone can interact in real-time without having to refresh the page (as if it were a chat). I want to be able to view who posted what but I don't think the 'discussion forum' really achieves what I am looking for. If there are any free platforms I could integrate where the name of the student is also displayed (unlike, for example, Google Docs) that would be great!
I want to be able to track who participated in the discussion.

There's a new-er tool in Brightspace that has more of a social media feel to it called the Activity Feed which you could try- but you have to choose which posts you'll allow comments on.
The Discussion Tool might be another option - it's easy to set up and familiar for lots of students and it allows Students some flexibility in initiating a new kind of post provided it's under a forum that you've created -
