Hello - As a Student, you likely do not have permission to do that. It is possible that your instructor also might not have permission to do that. I would suggest that you contact the LMS support team at USC to see if they can assist.
I am immensely interested in this! I have used Canvas as a student before, and being able to give my courses a “nickname” in the landing page and the quick links to the class homepage (just for my view, not to change it for the class as a whole) is very helpful.
I’m running into the same issue as Emmett. The course names are unhelpful at best, and very confusing at worst. I could ask the instructor to change it, but I assume they have a required naming convention they are supposed to use. It seems simple, but it might be a complicated feature. Any progress on that would be appreciated!
