Merging courses?

Hello everyone, I am moving classes from Blackboard to Bright Space. My course is an undergrad/grad combo, and I was wondering if I should do what I normally do in Banner and combine the two courses into one, and only then export and import the combo package into Brightspace?And if so, which Brightspace class do I use, since there are currently two separate classes in existence in Brightspace? Or, is there an equivalent merge process I need to do for Brightspace combo classes?

Brightspace has an option of merging courses:
The practical implementation of this option may depend on the client, as some institutions prefer to manage this process on the admin's level, rather than allowing instructors to merge their courses.
