I would like to export courses from D2l using the Bulk Course Export option
I can sftp to the server but I am unable to change directories or upload anything other than a zip file.
The input and output paths default to:
Inbox Path
/content/BulkTools/BCE/Inbox/
Outbox Path
/content/BulkTools/BCE/Outbox/
What do I need to do?

The file paths that you have noted are pointing to the Organization Files that have limited access as controlled through the Roles and Permissions.
In order to provide for a wider access to the course export tool, you may need to ask your Brightspace Administrator to setup a course offering in which those who require access to course exports could be enrolled and complete their exports from there. There is an article in Brightspace Community here that outlines this setup process.

This will be a one time export and thought that setting up a course would be over kill. After looking at the process more closely, this isn't hard at all.
Reviewing these instructions I see this information. How do I know when or if I have a scheduled task to run this?

Checking on when the scheduled tasks run is something that support can check for you. Also, if you put in your csv file into the Inbox folder, wait 24 hours, and if the scheduled task is set to run, your exports will be in the Outbox and the time in which they are created will be the approximate time that your sites scheduled task runs.
