Has there been an issue reported about assignment submission?

One of our student has confirmed that on 22 Jan she did submit an assignment, however upon checking the next day, it was still showing pending and no email confirmation was received. Upon checking the log of the students, indeed she was log in at the said time.
I just want to know if there is any potential technical issue which in case the student would not be penalized.

If the student did not receive the email confirmation, then the assignment was not submitted. Did they say that they encountered any error messages during submission?

They confirmed that there was no message or prompt during the submission.
