Turn off or hide "virtual assistant"

Can I turn off this Virtual Assistant? It just gets in the way when I'm showing students content pages.

Unsurprisingly, asking this virtual assistant how to "hide virtual assistant" or "turn off virtual assistant" or similar queries produced no useful response.

As a workaround, I have reenabled my script blocker (uBlock Origin) for our D2L installation and blocked the site "forethought.ai" but this really ought to be something that we can control ourselves.

    Hello,

    I do not believe there is a setting to control that. You may want to reach out to you administrator for more information.

    I'm having the same problem. It's distracting and intrusive and driving me up a wall-- it has a "hide" option but comes right back. I have many students with ADHD and is is NOT making their lives easier. Teach people who love AI have to give faculty and students control and choices. I don;t have a script blocker so no easy answers here.

    I am having the same problem here-- the brightspace Ai assistant is distracting and intrusive and there is no way to make it go away. It drives me nuts, and is not a helpful feature for students, especially those with ADHD. PLEASE give students and faculty control of these features- they are not universally welcome and can interfere with actual learning.
