Self-Enrol in Groups

Question

An instructor set up a group category with a self-enrolment type. When students click on the link to the category, they receive an error message stating the self-enrolment groups are not available. Has anyone experienced this issue before, and did you find a solution?

@Emily.D.83 Does the group category have self enrollment start and/or expiry dates set? Are there any restrictions set on enrollment? Did students report this problem or is it just appearing that way when using the View As feature?
