Disscusion Board
Hello,
An instructor created two discussions one for students to post their summery of their paper it was open from Dec. 6-8. Then the instructor created another discussion for you students to reply to their fellow students Dec 9-11.
I'm sure you know what I'm gonna ask but hold on. Her students posted their summaries, the original DB closed and no longer have access to the other students posts. There were only 3 students who copied their posts and responses in a timely manner to have posts in the right location. Other students asked the instructor to open up the original DB, not understanding the reason. Because the 2nd DB had no student summaries, yes she could of manually graded this by going to enter grades but she did not.
My question is can you create one discussion board question with an original due date and a second date for replies?
I think the answer is yes, but I'm not sure how to do this and explain it to instructor,

Hi @Laura.I.284 ,
Thanks for reaching us through community!!
When a due date and end date is added in discussion the scenario you mentioned can be achieved but unfortunately, I found a PIE that seems similar to your query - Discussion- Due Date for first Post and all posts (D7468)
May I suggest you upvote this idea?
Thanks,
