Adding a parent email to a student profile

Hello, our staff are trying to link a parent email to a student profile to that we can email a parent and student at the same time within D2L. Is this possible?

Hi Karen,

Yes, the functionality you have described is supported if you are using Brightspace for Parents & Guardians. See https://community.d2l.com/brightspace/kb/articles/4559-brightspace-parent-guardian-web-application

In short, after enabling the tool, you need to create a relationship between the Parent/Guardian and the Learner. In doing this, from a course offering, Teachers via the Classlist can email the Learners parent/guardian and add the learner to the email recipient list.
