Is there any type of audit logging for course modifications?

I've got an issue where an instructor is claiming that content just suddenly disappeared and is wondering what happened however I can't find anywhere that includes audit logging or any sort of logs that might explain what happened. I know there is IPSIS audit logging but that doesn't help and wasn't involved in this scenario. I'm hoping I'm just missing something but this seems like a big oversight if there is no way to check on events and what happened/caused them.
I'm also new to D2L so it could very likely just be my inexperience but if anyone can weigh in and assist that would be greatly appreciated!

@Zach.D.935 If you have access to the Brightspace data sets, check out Content Files Properties Log and Content Objects.
