Tracking completion

Question

I'm wondering how you might be able to track completion of a course when there is a core module and then a set number of elective modules that a user has to complete. We're doing this for our staff professional development and want to give some choice and agency to them. There might be one or two core components that they have to complete, but then have to choose maybe two other modules from a group of 4 that they have to do in order for it to be considered 'complete'. Any suggestions?

Thanks Andrea, but I don't know if this will work. Because they can choose any two of the four electives, how do you  configure the OR variable but with a minimum of two?

Hi Deira,

You could use the awards tool. They could earn a badge for each of the components, then have a completion certificate released based on badges earned.
