Third-party Apps and Pulse

We've had reports from customers of the "Index, Unable to load session parameters" occurring on Pulse. We've had this issue in the past with iOS and Safari, but a tweak of the privacy settings to allow tracking resolves it. However, we're getting this with both Android and iOS when using Pulse. So, wondering if any other third-party integrations are experiencing similar reports.

  • Hello, Lori! Thank you for a detailed description of this issue. Those types of issues can usually be fixed by internal IT department at your institution. Please, contact the IT department at your institution, and describe the issue to them. It would be helpful to have a few screenshots, if possible, and the timing of your login attempts.

Please, let us know if you have other questions, or if your IT department is unable to look into this issue.

    Have a great day!

    Mariya

    Thank, Mariya..

However, we're the third-party vendor and the IT department at the institution has reached out to us on this issue. So, what is it specifically that they need to do to fix the issue on their end?

  • Hey Lori, apologies for the gap in feedback. This issue took the dev team down quite a deep hole in how the built-in browser Pulse uses on Android and iOS handles and has restrictions around cookies. Long story short with the added info from the ticket of who the LTI tool provider was allowed the team to build in a workaround.
If you update Pulse you should see the 3rd party app you where having issues with fixed now.

For other people having similar issues (third party apps working on Pulse Android, but not working on Pulse iOS), please let us know
