How do I delete a duplicate assignment in Grading?

 1. How do I delete a duplicate assignment in Grading?
 2. Can the assignments in Grading be moved to put them in a different order? If so, how?

I believe you are asking about how to delete a duplicate Grade Item in your course Grade Book, isn't it? If so, then you can follow the steps below:

Go to your course Grade Book tool and:

* Click on the "Manage Grades" tab

* Next, click on "More Actions"
* Then, click "Delete".

* Finally select the grade item you want to delete
* and hit "Delete" at the bottom of your screen.

Note: If the duplicate Grade Item is associated with an assignment/quiz/discussion in your course, you will first have to undo that association, and they all have a similar workflow.

If it is an activity in the Assignments tool, for instance, click to edit the activity you want to do the association.

* Then click on "In Grade Book"
* Next, click "Not in Grade Book"

* Finally, hit Save or Save and Close.

Now that you have undone the association between the activity in your course and its respective Grade Item in your Grade Book, you will be able to delete the undesired Grade Item by following the first set of steps in this post.
