Blogs + Students
Hi-
I had a client ask about the blog tool in BS.
We had it disabled. I just enabled it and I can see it from the instructor side, but not student. Under permissions, I see it has to be enabled for students.
Is this tool intended to be use by students? Or is this just a faculty tool? Not seeing a grading option as of yet for it.

Hi Michael,
Yes, the Blog tool can be enabled for any Brightspace role as required. This is done using the following role permissions
The Blog tool itself cannot be configured for assessment tasks, in a similar way that you can create graded discussions. However, students could be asked to create a public blog post and share the link as part of an assessment activity. Alternatively, the Instructor can add student blogs to their Blog Watch and monitor for posts. In addition to the blog permissions link above other useful documentation includes:
Hope that helps!
