Hello, we need assistance with setting up a quiz: the maximum points are over 11 in student attempts and we need it to calculate over 10, is there a way to modify it now that students have already attempted the quiz? Thank you

Hi @Sofia.J.331 Once a quiz has been taken, it is still possible to update its maximum score, but only through its associated Grade Item in your course Gradebook.
If the quiz grades have already been published in the Gradebook, you must retract its feedback, edit the grade item's max points, and then republish its feedback:

    Retracting feedback on existing attempts:

    • Go to Quizzes
    • Click the down arrow right next to the Quiz you wish to modify the Max Points for
    • Click "Grade"
    • Click the upper left check box to select all users' attempts and click "Retract Feedback"

Updating Grade item's current max points:

    • Go to your course Gradebook
    • Click the down arrow right next to the desired Grade Item
    • Select "Edit"
    • Under "Grading", modify the Max points as desired
    • Save and Close

    Finally, republishing your students' scores

    • Go to Quizzes
    • Click the down arrow right next to the Quiz you wish to modify the Max Points for
    • Click "Grade"
    • Click the upper left check box to select all users' attempts and click "Publish"
    • Save and Close

In this case, students' scores will be proportionally updated according to the new Max Points assigned to the Grade Item.

Let me know if this helps.
