Assuming you already have a basic understanding of Using HTML templates in Content, you could store HTML template files in Public Files, then use config variable d2l.Tools.Content.TemplatePath to point to that location. Since d2l.Tools.Content.TemplatePath is of type org unit, you should be able to apply cascading logic so that only org units that descend from the parent fall semester (assuming fall courses are linked to a fall semester) point to that location.
