Homepage widget file confusion

Question

I'm a new administrator here and I am trying to update a file called Academic Resources on our organization homepage that is in a Helpful Links widget. This same file is also in the course homepages. I've gone to the Public File Management and located the file and made the edits but it only updates in the course homepages not in the organization homepage. The Academic Resources file is only in one place in Public files that I can find and not in Organization files at all. I'm sure this isn't enough information but it's the best I can do. Any ideas?

I got help from D2L and found the orphan file and was able to update it. Note to self, scroll all the way through the list of files even if it takes forever.

Hi Lisa, It sounds like there are 2 different files to edit. The first in the Public Files referenced by the widget at the course level that you have edited, the other may be sitting in the Manage Files area for the Org, or at the Org level. This area can be accessed by temporarily adding the Course Admin link to the org level navbar, and navigating to Manage Files; or by navigating to the Manage Files area of a course offering you have access to and changing the org unit id to 6606, i.e. ou=6606. If you don't have any luck finding the file best to contact the D2L Support team for assistance. Hope that helps!
