Is there a way to search for all users with a particular role?

I have created a role for Deans within our institution, but I'm unable to find a way to find a list of who has that role.  I see in the data sets that there is user report that gives org role id, but I'm hoping that D2L has this basic function that most other LMSs have.

Thank you for sharing your inquiry.

I believe I found a similar idea on our Product Idea Exchange - D6057.

If it does meet your requirement of searching for users with in a role from the users tool search you may upvote on the idea and accordingly receive updates on the request.

You may also raise a new  PIE ( Product Idea Exchange)  for our Product Development team and collaborate with the community members to share your idea.

Hi Misty,

Thank you for reaching Brightspace community.

You can find the role id of the user from the UI:

Admin tool >Roles and Permissions > Select the Role of the "Dean" > in the URL you will have the roleid for the Dean Role

Then using the Users dataset you can find the user under this role.
