Forcing notifications for new Grades being posted

Hello Community, is there a way to automate notifications to students that a new Grade Item has been posted? Currently, our Instructors remind students at the beginning of a semester to 'turn on' notifications for new grade items. Is there a way that Instructors can turn this on for all students?

There is a default setting that can be changed globally by an Admin, however, users will still have the ability to uncheck that option if they wish. You can find more information here:
