Is there a way to set up the doc to prevent downloading?
Is there a way in D2L to prevent students from downloading a document onto their computer? I have a PDF document that I want students to be able to view/read within a specific module, but it is a section of copywritten material. While I have permission from the publisher to use it in the class, students should not be allowed to download it. Is there a way to set up the doc to prevent downloading?

Hi @Johnna.Hodges7110 ,
Thank you for reaching out to the Brightspace Community!
You can take away access to the Download button in Content. The linked workflow will walk you through how to disable the Download feature for students.

@Johnna.Hodges7110 There isn't a way to disable the download button in individual courses. The recommendation for our instructors is to share the file using OneDrive and set the sharing permissions to prevent downloading instead of uploading the PDF to D2L.
