Re: Images in the Welcome to the New Quiz Creation Experience post
Thanks for reaching out to the Brightspace Community! We are grateful to you for putting this on our radar! I've connected this with our Knowledge team so that they can have look. Thanks and happy holidays!
What function do "Enrollment Options" play on the "Add Existing Users" screen?
When I choose "Classlist"/Add Participants/Add Existing Users" (and I find "existing users" misleading because these are users registered in Brightspace, but not yet registered in my class... why not say "Add Brightspace Users"), I get the following screen:
My question is, what do the Enrollment Options fields do? I assumed they would become defaults when I selected a student to add after filtering, but they do not seem to be applied. When I add a new student I still have to select the role and section for each new student added. When I search, the Enrollment Options fields are reset, and after the search, the fields in the user entry I'm adding are unset. Changing the Enrollment Options after the search does not affect the role and section selected for a specific entry.
Re: Community Feedback🗨️
Wow Stefanie... Thanks for the lightning response! I'm looking forward to the new release in the new year.
Re: Community Feedback🗨️
I found a reference to the Product Information Database in the Community FAQ. Currently, I log into the Brightspace Community, Click on Resources/Learning Center, then log into the learning center, and click on PIE, and log back into the Brightspace Community (really it's the "old" community). that requires three tabs in my browser, and three logons. The last thing you want is the impression of barriers put up to prevent users from suggesting improvements.
(The initial post suggested a search didn't work. The search DOES work when you spell PIE right. Dyslexia strikes again.)
Re: How could I enable feedback ratings for learners?
Hello @juliewoloshin7 ,
Thank you for contacting us via Community!
You can allow learners to submit feedback by enabling the permission - Submit Feedback on Content Topics in the Roles and Permission for this role. With the help of this permission, users of the Learner role will see the Submit feedback option in a content topic's context menu.
I hope this helps!
Kind Regards,
Rusha
Re: Release Notes Updates
@Amanda.King-Spezzo3818, we have updated the All Release Notes page accordingly.
Thanks for the catch!
Re: Community Feedback🗨️
Thanks so much for bringing this to our attention! This is the exact type of feedback that we love to hear so that we can make speedy adjustments to meet the needs of our clients!
We have temporarily disabled private messaging for users and taken down the related article while we take a look at these permissions and settings. Stay tuned for an update shortly!
Re: Late Submission of Quiz
Hi @Gary.Glaser8529 . Disassociating the quiz from the grade item will preserve existing marks in Grades, while preventing updates. This comes with a couple of drawbacks: you have to disassociate the quizzes manually, and in a timely fashion, and if you copy your course forward, you'll need to re-associate the quizzes and grade items.
I'm curious about your comment, "I do not want to put an end date as I want my students to be able to see their assignments after so they can study and learn from them". Students who have completed the quiz will be able to see the questions and answers, if you wish, by managing the submission view for the quiz by clicking the "Customize Quiz Results Display" link in the Evaluation & Feedback section when editing a quiz. Students who didn't do the quiz don't have a submission to view, so they're out of luck. Is this the reason for not wanting to use the end date on a quiz, or is there another reason?
