Re: Community Feedback🗨️
@Janet.Osborne3295 Thank you so much for catching that error and for letting us know!
We're coordinating with our excellent Knowledge Team to have that updated ASAP!
I'm not sure if you've seen it, but some of the Team that worked on the latest updates to SAML also created a course in the Brightspace Learning Center on the tool - you'd have to login with your legacy community credentials but it may also be handy. (*truly working on that SSO from New Community to Learning Center- so you won't have to login with Legacy credentials for too much longer)
Please keep that feedback coming- so grateful to you!
Re: Access to the test brightspace LMS

Please stay tuned here for a response!
Re: Access to the test brightspace LMS
Good morning @abdulwaheed. Please see the DM I've sent you for details.
Re: Community Feedback🗨️
I was reading and found that the link provided for “Where do I go to find out more?” is circular and simply leads back the top of the page.
I did find the info I was looking for on the old documentation site, under Add an Identity Provider…. but it would be nice if in time this info could be added into these nice, eye-ball friendly sections/pages on the new Community. 🙂
Re: Why doesn't Chrome Android display any custom styles for HTML pages?
Hi @Stefanie Bal729 After the latest Chrome Update (Android) the Brightspace HTML content pages are displayed using the stylesheet. Thus, the problem has been solved.
Still, I prefer that the content pages open within the Pulse app instead of the default browser, as was done before the latest Pulse update
Re: Can a user access D2L from another country?
Hey @Karen Ran283,
Thanks for connecting with us here at the Brightspace Community.
Some countries have restrictions on certain sites, browsers, and so forth. While D2L is available abroad in many countries, some countries may have restrictions that prevent students from accessing D2L. When a student encounters a firewall, there are multiple solutions.
Here are a few ways a student could bypass a firewall:
- Use a proxy
- Use a VPN
- Use your smartphone as a mobile hotspot
- Use a SSH Tunnel
- Use Tor
Some of these solutions come with potential repercussions, like viruses if the student is using a service that is not secure. It is best to research the potential solutions more extensively before making a choice.
I hope this helps!
