Re: Inspiration - Salesforce Uses
Hi Jay,
Clients use Salesforce in many different ways depending on the level of integration they require. Some examples include:
- as an authentication service (SAML Identity Provider)
- storefront through which courses are purchased
- system of record
- managing event driven user account creation and course enrolment
- capturing course completion
In addition to feedback you get from community member you can also reach out to your Customer Success/Account Manager who can provide you with Salesforce integration options, and connect you with D2L clients using Salesforce.

Re: New Experience - files uploaded to content
There is a workaround: Create a new HTML file, use Insert Stuff and select Module Files. Click upload and upload your file. This will generate a link to the file which downloads (or opens in a browser preview) rather than the default Brightspace viewer.

Hi Alec
The roles you see in the Role in course dropdown are driven by your role permissions.
For the roles you want to see in this list:
- Select Admin tools
- Select Roles and permissions
- Select {role name}
- Select Edit Role Interactions from the Actions for {role name} menu
- Scroll down to Enroll {role name} ensure:
- tick the required check boxes and the group/course offering levels
- this is dependant on the otg unit type you want to enroll the user into as selected in the 'Select an Org Unit' step when creating the IA

If you are working with Brightspace as an instructor or course facilitator, I suggest you start here: . If you are working with Brightspace as an administrator, I suggest you start with this page: . In both of these articles, there are links to courses in the Learning Center to help new users, like yourself, learn about the Brightspace tools to drive engagement and create accessible learning opportunities. There are also links to our documentation in the Brightspace Community which you can sort/filter by your role to find step-by-step guides about all the tools within Brightspace. Is there a specific tool that you have a question about? I am happy to share a resource or answer a specific question. Lastly, when you do have questions that you can't answer through documentation, post a discussion, just like you did and our D2L team or other Community members will hop in to help!
Just as @Iwona.S.533 shared, if you think there is something wrong with your Brightspace instance, I suggest that you connect with the Brightspace Administrator for your organization so they can submit a support ticket to resolve the issue.

Vai depender então do que foi estabelecido como objetivos de aprendizagem e competências no seu curso. Em todo o caso, os alunos deverão cumprir as atividades do curso - questionário, discussões, etc - ligadas aos objetivos de aprendizagem que eles precisam atingir. Na prática seria como se os alunos tivessem que atingir uma nota mínima para que um objetivo de aprendizagem seja cumprido.
Sinta-se à vontade para compartilhar os objetivos de aprendizagem ligados ao seu curso para que eu possa ser um pouco mais específico nas minhas instruções.
