Re: What are you using for course evaluations?
We were using the Course Surveys & Evaluations tool by Watermark and just signed a contract with Qualtrics Course Evaluations, since we've had a long standing relationship with them as our survey tool provider. Haven't implemented it yet though, should be done in the next month or so.
Re: ServiceNow Rest API Integration
Hi Kyler
Might I suggest using the Refresh Token headless approach if I use Postman and use the get new refresh token api route the in cURL it looks like this.
curl --location 'https://auth.brightspace.com/core/connect/token' \
--header 'Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded' \
--data-urlencode 'grant_type=refresh_token' \--data-urlencode 'client_id=**************************' \
--data-urlencode 'client_secret=********************' \--data-urlencode 'refresh_token=content.refresh_token'
This should keep you connected as long as you access within 30 days from the last access using the refresh token flow.
Any way hope this helps.

For more on our roadmap process and our themes for this year, see the Product Focus page on our main website D2L.com.
Re: Release Notes Updates
@Mary Mac165 with Language Packs we mean all the default signposting /tool names and descriptions/ that comes from D2L, right? It doesn't have to do with translating content added by instructors, is that accurate ?
Thanks
Re: Release Notes Updates
@Michel.Marcheterre8271 , apologies for the confusion. Yes, any languages that appear in the User Menu or Language Management tools are purchased lang packs.
Re: Inquiry about Brightspace Widget for Displaying Announcements as a Slider or Carousel

Re: What is "Help > edit the help text" role permission?
Hi @Suzanne.Schlangen2392 So it appears this tool was deprecated and EOL in version 10.7.1 (May 2017). I believe this was useful for clients downloading the Brightspace Help documentation and then embedding in your site, allowing roles with this permission to edit changes in the documentation. It may have also been specifically for on-prem clients. I've brought this to the attention of our prod mgt team as it looks like it was not actually removed when EOL. They will be updating the info to have this removed. I would encourage you to go into your organizational tools and turn the tool off, so the permissions don't appear. Hope this helps! Dan

Re: Impersonate user permissions.
We are trying to allow some of our roles to be able to...
I encountered this error and was given this additional information after checking the roles and permissions and unenrolling/reenrolling did not correct the issue:
When a user impersonates another user, they are expected to access the Learning Environment (all options, courses, etc.) as the user they are impersonating. Although you are impersonating a specific role from the Classlist, to be able to successfully impersonate a user you require permissions to impersonate all the roles the user has been enrolled with.
Therefore, it’s possible the user is enrolled in another course offering with a different role that is affecting the ability to impersonate them. Check the User Enrollment Log for the user account you are trying to impersonate to determine where they might be currently enrolled with a role that has permissions above that of the one you are using to Impersonate.
Hope that helps!
Re: How do I restrict an Insert Stuff option to certain roles?
Most of the options listed are based on the permissions of the role and the tool being accessible to that org unit.
If a tool is installed but the student role doesn't have access to it or the tool is turned off for that course offering then the student will not see if listed as a tool they can use in Insert Stuff.
Most of 3rd party integrations will be listed if that course offering has access to it since the LTI setup is for the offerings and not a specific role.
