What is the session all about?
Faculty attend workshop after workshop, but an important question remains. What does all of this professional development truly add up to? How do faculty know that what they are learning is building toward meaningful, long-term growth rather than isolated training moments? Using the HeDiCom framework in combination with D2L Brightspace Competencies, faculty can now map their progress and clearly see which skills they are developing over time. Jenn Rose, an expert Instructional Designer and JoAnn Edmond, the Director of Instructional Support at Augusta University’s Center for Instructional Innovation, shares this approach that transforms professional development from a series of disconnected workshops into a structured journey toward greater confidence, capability, and impact in teaching and learning.
