LTI Links Shared Data Set Removal
The LTI Links Shared data set will be removed with no plans to replace the data set.
This data set lists the parent Org Unit(s) that a link is shared with and can be used within the organization.
LTI Links can be shared explicitly with an org unit or be shared with an org unit’s descendants, which is called inherited sharing. When an LTI 1.1 link is shared, users have the option to share with descendants of a specific type, such as a course offering.
Why is it being removed?
Customer feedback indicates this data set does not add value to them, and removing the data set would have no or limited impact on customers. The other data sets: LTI Links, LTI Launches, and LTI Link Migration Audit, will all still be available.
When will this deprecation happen?
This LTI Links Shared Data Set deprecation (removal) will happen according to the Data Set Change Management Policy with the February 2024/20.24.2 release.
LTI Registration and Deployment Data Sets
There are two more LTI data sets in development, and they are expected to be delivered soon. The LTI Registration and LTI Deployment data sets are audit data sets that record all LTI 1.3 Advantage registration and deployment events. These data sets will enhance the administration experience by providing better insight into how LTI registrations and deployments are used within their organization. Knowing the precise timing of registration and deployment events will greatly enhance the ability to troubleshoot LTI-related problems.
When will these data sets be available?
These additional data sets are expected to be released within the 2024 calendar year. The release of these data sets is considered a minor data set event. It is expected to have a slight disruption level to customers according to the Data Set Change Management Policy.
