Can you create custom institutional calendars for different groups?

We would like to use the institutional calendar to highlight different events for specific groups, such as showing student events only to students, or workshop opportunities to faculty. It doesn't look like there's a way to restrict individual events in the main institution calendar. Is there any other way that we might be able to accomplish this?

Yes, you can create events specific to users in a group.
You can follow the below steps to create calendar events specific to groups or sections,
{
- Go to the Calendar tool of the course
- Click on Create Event
- Provide a desired content or title
- Under Attendees select the Group or Section from the list for whom you want this event to display
- Click on Create
}

Thanks for raising this, Jenn, I had the same question!
Nik - my understanding is that you can only create calendar events specific to groups or sections at the course level, correct? Similar to Jenn, I would like to be able to do this at the Organization level, but I get an error message that the Groups and Sections tool is not available at the org level. I was hoping there might be another way to restrict access to certain events by org unit user role (like you can with global announcements), but no such luck.
