One of our Instructional Designer came across an image file that had an extension .jfif . It was determined that Brightspace doesn't allow this file type to be uploaded. The Designer had to open a program and save the file as a .jpeg in order for it to be uploaded. Is this case and can this be added as an acceptable image file type? I couldn't find anything in the Brightspace Community about .jfif . All comments are welcomed! Thank you.

Hi Shawn, we aren't planning to do this and it isn't advised to do so, either. JFIF files can be data and not images, so we don't want to put you in a position where you're inserting the wrong type of file. Luckily, image-based JFIF uses the same compression as JPEG and they're easily converted!
