New Service API = Announcement API?
I started reading the News Service API. It sounds like this deals with Announcements. When I look at the News config variables, they are specifically talking about Announcements.
Does this provide a way to programaticlly post announcements at the various org levels using the API?

In this case News and Announcements are being used synonymously. This allows you to programmatically create Announcements/News Items at various org levels.

In the GUI it ís possible to add release conditions (e.g. only show persons with orgunit role "Teacher"). I don't see the option to put release conditions to the news item (announcement).
Or is there a way to add the release conditions to the request of the news service API?
