How do you turn off email notifications to students on content changes?

This is a two-pronged solution:

1. If you are using Classic Content experience, when publishing changes, make sure the Notify students that the content has changed check box is clear.
   
2. Prompt your students to check out their Notifications settings by clicking their name from the top menu > Notifications. In the page that appears, your students can select whether or not they want to receive certain instant notifications, such as content updates.
