We’re excited to share a new free course available to all Brightspace clients!

Community Spotlight: Kumar Chandrasekhar

The Building Interactive HTML Topics in Brightspace course is now live!

This practical, hands-on course explores how Brightspace can do more than host files. You’ll learn how to turn the content you already teach with into interactive HTML Topics that learners can explore, engage with, and apply.

No prior coding experience is required. The course uses AI tools, a small set of design principles, and techniques that can be applied across any discipline.

🌟 Learn how to:
- Design interactive content directly inside Brightspace
- Use AI tools to help create HTML Topics
- Apply simple design principles that support learner engagement
- Build content that moves beyond static files and encourages interaction
- Navigate the course using tracked completion to unlock the Content Wizard badge

New Discussions Layout - Conversations Re-imagined

🗳️ We Want to Hear from You - Share Your Feedback or Questions! 🗳️

What’s changing?

Discussions can now appear in a nested, social-media style layout, making it easier to follow replies and see how conversations connect.

Why it matters?

This creates a cleaner, more intuitive discussion experience by helping members follow conversation flow, reduce clutter in busy threads, and focus on the replies most relevant to them.

We’re introducing a more modern comment layout that helps conversations feel easier to read, navigate, and engage with.

Nested replies allow members to see which comments belong together, while expandable sections help keep long discussions clean and manageable—especially on mobile or in our highly active D2L Community.

Fusion 2026 is almost here, and we’re excited to connect with you in Phoenix, AZ from July 8–10! Stop by the Community, Knowledge, and Localization Lab to meet our teams, share your feedback, review early design concepts, and help us improve the resources and support experiences you use.

While you’re there, you can also take on the Community Bingo Challenge, complete the Community CSAT Survey, explore Course Package Translation Services, and scan the Fusion Challenge QR code to collect 150 points.
