If students are moved from one module group to another, do the graded activities in the previous module group remain or they get removed when they change? for example they were in DDLT4556 group 1 and are moved to DDLT4556 group 2 which are similar but separate modules.

    Hi Simphiwe, great question!

If students are moved from one module group to another within the same course offering, their graded activities remain intact. Grades, submissions, and progress are tied to the course and the individual learner, not to the group they belong to. So even if a student moves from DDLT4556 Group 1 to Group 2, their previous work and grades will still be visible in the Grades tool and Class Progress.

However, if the activities were group-restricted—like group assignments or discussions—then the student may lose access to the previous group’s workspace, but their submissions and grades are still stored and accessible to instructors.

D2L confirms that learners can belong to multiple groups and that instructors can move them between groups at any time without affecting their existing grades or submissions, you can use this documentation:

    Hope this helps clarify things!
