Accessibility of self-assessment feedback for screen readers users
The feedback in the course's self assessment questions contain information that guides the learner to which lessons to review.
I am using NVDA; I used tab to navigate and spacebar to select the responses. Would it be best practice to have the feedback announced (or at least the presence of the feedback announced, with an instruction on how to perceive it)?

Hi @Courtney.M.362,
Thank you for your question about making self-assessment feedback accessible for screen reader users.
It is considered best practice for feedback messages, such as the ones shown after answering a self-assessment question, to be announced to screen reader users. Brightspace supports WAI-ARIA (Web Accessibility Initiative - Accessible Rich Internet Applications), which can be used to programmatically notify assistive technologies like NVDA when dynamic content such as pop-up feedback appears.
If NVDA is not reading the feedback in your course, it likely means the necessary WAI-ARIA attributes have not been applied to those messages. To enable this, the course content or tool would need to be set up with the appropriate WAI-ARIA markup so NVDA can detect and announce the feedback.
For more details, please refer to: https://community.d2l.com/brightspace/kb/articles/3345-create-accessible-content-in-brightspace#using-headings-and-aria-landmarks-with-assistive-technology
I hope this addresses your query for making the self-assessment feedback accessible.
