importing with course components take too long

My understanding is that if I try to export/import a quiz without selecting Course Components, then the embedded figures will not come through. Maybe this has been fixed; I don't know.

But when I select Course Components, it seems like it tries to export/import all of the components of the course, not the ones just associated with the single quiz I am trying to export/import.

This does not seem like a good way to do things.

    Hi @John.T.26,

    Are you importing a quiz from another course within Brightspace? If so, after searching for the course to copy from, Choose Select Components to only copy the quiz you want to import instead of choosing Copy All Components which will copy the entire course.

    Yes, this will get me the quiz. But in the past it has not imported the embedded figures, which is why I exported and important as Brightspace Package and checked the box to include course components (which seemed to be all course components, even if only one quiz is selected, but this is a guess). Maybe this has been fixed?

    Thanks for the update. I haven’t observed any recent issues with the course components related to the one you mentioned; it’s quite possible that the issue has already been resolved.

    I recommend using the Course Components tool to copy the quizzes from one course to another. If you continue to experience any issues, please don’t hesitate to let us know. We’ll be happy to investigate further.
