Im new to NLN and Brightspace. I registered for a new course for the first time. I'm having some trouble navigating brightspace and couldn't find answers to my questions.
- how do I download the transcripts and PPT from the course. I only seem to be able to download the orientation transcript.
- Regarding the self assessment quizzes, how do I find out which answers I got wrong? Its really difficult to retake an exam if I'm not even aware of what I got right or wrong, as it makes me second guess my answers. I re-reviewed the material and answered the questions based on the information I have but still getting too many wrong.
- In the orientation video and transcript it provided this information about asking questions. "Questions Please post any questions that you may have in the D2L Question and Answer Discussion Forum. Dr. Killingsworth will respond within the indicated timeframe." How do I find this discussion forum?
- Is there a video tutorial to use to learn to navigate D2L brightspace? The one that was offered, doesn't seem to work.
Thank you for answering my questions
Kindly

I am brand new to NLN On Demand courses. I just started my first course and have a few questions, I can't seem to find the answers to.
- How do I download the PPT and transcripts for the course. It seems that I can only download the orientation but not the other documents.
- When taking the self assessment quizzes, why can I not see what questions I got correct? Some questions have multiple answers and if only one is wrong I'm assuming all the full item is wrong. It really makes me second guess all my answers and I just gave up on retaking the quiz when I kept seeing that I only got 3 out of 6 correct. I have no way of knowing which I got right or wrong.
- In the orientation, it mentioned "Please post any questions that you may have in the D2L Question and Answer Discussion Forum. Dr. Killingsworth will respond within the indicated timeframe". Where do I find this?

Hello @Diane.C.1398,
Thank you for reaching out to us via Community!
From your questions, it looks like you're inquiring about a specific course. I’ve gathered the following information that I hope will be helpful:
- how do I download the transcripts and PPT from the course. I only seem to be able to download the orientation transcript. - You should be able to download the downloadable files directly from the topic page. Look for the Download button, which typically appears next to the content title.
- Regarding the self assessment quizzes, how do I find out which answers I got wrong? Its really difficult to retake an exam if I'm not even aware of what I got right or wrong, as it makes me second guess my answers. I re-reviewed the material and answered the questions based on the information I have but still getting too many wrong - Regarding the self-assessment quizzes, unfortunately, the ability to see which answers were incorrect may depend on the course settings. I recommend reaching out directly to your course instructor for clarification.
- In the orientation video and transcript it provided this information about asking questions. "Questions Please post any questions that you may have in the D2L Question and Answer Discussion Forum. Dr. Killingsworth will respond within the indicated timeframe." How do I find this discussion forum? - The D2L Question and Answer Discussion Forum can be accessed from within your course. Navigate to the Discussion tool in your course navigation bar—this is where all course-related discussions are typically posted.
- Is there a video tutorial to use to learn to navigate D2L brightspace? The one that was offered, doesn't seem to work.: I understand the tutorial you were offered isn’t working. As an alternative, here’s a helpful article with additional guidance:Brightspace Learner Help. You can also explore other related subtopics listed on the left side of that page.
