Reflect in ePortfolio
Hello D2L Team,
I'm currently using D2L as a student at Deakin University. I'm also a learning designer, and our organisation is considering switching to D2L next year. As part of my exploration, I’ve been testing the UX/UI features of the LMS.
I’ve found the ePortfolio reflections tool to be quite useful. However, I’ve encountered an issue: I’m unable to upload images directly into a reflection. This seems a bit unusual, especially given that more complex media options, such as YouTube videos and Video Note are available.
Is this limitation due to an administrative setting that may have been disabled at the institution level, or is it an intentional design choice within the tool?
Many thanks
Jahan

Hi @Jahan.K.4317 ,
I'm glad to hear you are finding the ePortfolio tool useful!
From the screenshot you provided, instead of clicking on Add to get to the pop out window you showed, if you click on the Insert Stuff icon in the HTML Editor, this provides addtional insert options that include Video Note or the embed code of a YouTube video as you suggested.
Hope that helps!
Regards,
Janet

Thanks Janet. My question is why I'm not able to insert images from my computer (or even using a URL it seems as I tested this yesterday).
The reason I mentioned Video Note and YouTube video was to say it is unusual that these options are available, but a simple image insert is not.
I wonder if this is a bug or a setting Deakin admin have used that disables image insert or that I am doing something wrong
