Upload assignment for student
How do I upload an assignment for a student on Brightspace? For example, if the due date for submitting the assignment has passed for the student, who then emails me the assignment, how do I upload the file as the student's submission?

@Bani.L.1605 If your institution allows you to impersonate a student from the Classlist, you could submit the assignment that way. If not, you will most likely need to give the student special access to the assignment with an extended due date.

If the assignment is past the due date, you will need to contact your instructor and ask for an extension for the assignment. Once the instructor approves, you may be given special access for the submission.

Thank you, but let me clarify that I'm a teaching assistant/super administrator for Brightspace with my institution. How do I submit an assignment on behalf of a student? As I said in the previous question, let's say that the due date for the assignment has passed and the window for submitting the assignment has closed. The student emails me the assignment because he cannot manually upload it because the due date has passed. How do I upload the assignment for the student?

Currently, the best option to submit the assignment on behalf of the student is through impersonation and applying the special access.
Assuming you have access to manage Special Access. If the assignment window has been closed, you may assign the student special access outside the expected availability dates for this folder.
Here is an example of an Assignment with past due/end dates, but we've set a special access until July 1, 2025.
You can either impersonate the student to submit on their behalf, or the user can log in and submit themselves.
