Student Completion Checkmark in Content
Is there a way to turn on the checkmark for required material in the Contents tab? The New Content experience removed this feature, and many of our students would like that to be available.

Hi @Laura.T.2301 ,
In the New Content Experience, the "checkmark option" is accessible when Config Variable d2l.Tools.Content.ContentCompletionType is set to Required:Manual versus the default of Required:Automatic
This setting allows the student to manually Mark as Complete each Content Topic. This replaces the "checkmark" in the Classic Experience.
[Screenshot below shows an example from the students perspective]
Hope that helps.Janet

Hi Janet,
Thanks for your response! However, this option doesn't really solve my student view issue. I would like to keep it as automatic, and the students really would appreciate being able to see a quick completion mark on the content without having to click into each individual item. Are there any other view options I can set up to help achieve this?

Hello @Laura.T.2301
In the New Content Experience, the visual checkmarks indicating completed or required content in the Content tab are no longer available by design. Currently, there is no built-in setting to re-enable these checkmarks in the New Content Experience. If this visual indicator is essential for your students, I recommend submitting a Product Idea Exchange (PIE) item to suggest reintroducing this functionality or providing a toggle option in future updates.
