I am trying to make this work n test env but despite having admin access I am having this issue.
Error AADSTS50105
brightspace d2l users unless they are specifically granted ('assigned') access to the application.
I am using the auth url and token url given by Brightspace, are there any different ones to be used for test env?

The error message suggests a problem logging in to Single Signon, not so much the API? See for example It does not look like a message from the API, as far as I know they do not have such numbers.
