Copy Components Update

Hello @Paula.C.2956,
Thank you for reaching out via the Brightspace Community!
Unfortunately, at this time, it is not possible to copy individual content elements within a same course in Brightspace.
However, there is a feature request already submitted in our Product Ideas Exchange (PIE). I would encourage you to upvote the existing idea using the link below so our Product Development team is aware of the demand, and it may be considered for future enhancements:
https://desire2learn.brightidea.com/ideas/D8997
https://desire2learn.brightidea.com/ideas/D1736Additionally, if the existing idea doesn’t fully meet your needs, please feel free to submit a new idea outlining your specific requirements.
Let us know if you have any further questions—we’re happy to help!
Best regards,

Thank you for your feedback.
I have browsed Brightspace Community's Product Idea Exchange and, although I did find some similar ideas/feature requests, I still could not quite pinpoint one that would summarise your suggestion.
That said, I recommend you go to PIE directly and put in your idea.
The Product Idea Exchange is designed for users like you to send direct submissions to our Product Development organization and has the following advantages:
- It allows you to receive direct updates on each request you submit
- It allows other community members to vote on ideas
- It allows other community members to contribute to and collaborate on each idea
- It ensures ideas that have the greatest impact on our clients and end users receive consideration for inclusion in future releases.
We look forward to hearing from you at the Product Idea Exchange!

Has this been updated at all? I am also looking to duplicate content elements in the same course. For example, if I create a discussion with some standard instructions and just want to change the prompt in the next module, is this something I can do? As Anisha said in her post, I was also able to duplicate an individual label, discussion, assignment, etc., and then edit as needed.
Should I go to the Idea Exchange and add my vote for this feature :)
