Unfortunately, at this time, it is not possible to copy individual content elements within a same course in Brightspace.
However, there is a feature request already submitted in our Product Ideas Exchange (PIE). I would encourage you to upvote the existing idea using the link below so our Product Development team is aware of the demand, and it may be considered for future enhancements:

I have browsed Brightspace Community's Product Idea Exchange and, although I did find some similar ideas/feature requests, I still could not quite pinpoint one that would summarise your suggestion.
That said, I recommend you go to PIE directly and put in your idea.

Has this been updated at all? I am also looking to duplicate content elements in the same course. For example, if I create a discussion with some standard instructions and just want to change the prompt in the next module, is this something I can do? As Anisha said in her post, I was also able to duplicate an individual label, discussion, assignment, etc., and then edit as needed. Should I go to the Idea Exchange and add my vote for this feature :)
